PROJECTBLAKE

Education

Project Blake will run an education programme, which include Futures Theatre Company working schools.  The school pupils will use drama to learn about the life and work of William Blake and what influenced him both in the UK and abroad.

As well as learning about Blake pupils will make an in-depth study of one of his pieces of work from Songs of Innocence and Experience, which was created in Lambeth.

The young people involved in the training programme will also be invited to attend workshop sessions with Southbank Mosaics to learn how to make mosaics and help create the large scale work that will be hung at Centaur Street.

In November 2007 we ran a pilot project, which well received by teachers and pupils alike:

“the delivery of the workshop was fantastic and the children loved it”
Teacher, Walnut Tree Walk Primary School

“We should do this again”
Pupil, Wyvil Primary School
